Sadly, "pcmanfm" isn't a workaround for me as it lacks for ex. "Open
Terminal here" functionality which is VERY handy on our large share :)

But I did some more testing. As I saw, the newest ubuntu ppa kernel
(2.6.29.4) has some bugfixes within cifs, so I installed it, but Thunar
still hangs when accessing our netapp.

I did also compile and install Thunar 0.9.0 on my xubuntu 9.04, but this
one hangs too :( Next, I'll compile it with exo 0.3.4 to see if it has
perhaps todo with that library. And I want to try to use the source that
came with xubuntu 8.10.

I Would be very happy if this bug could be fixed asap as it is really
annoying to have to reboot every time I did not pay attention and
accessed the share with Thunar.
