I would like to reactivate this bug and make it a higher priority. Not only it's affecting me on Kubuntu 9.04 64bits but: - there are numerous reports of this issue on the net (just look on google for ubuntu bouncing or repeating key), - it's a long standing issue (this bug is 2 years old, reported on 6.10, and I have it on kubuntu 9.04 64bits) - the loss of keyboard and mouse is a serious showstopper for anyone trying linux especially when it happens during install That bug already kept me away from migrating to Kubuntu a while ago (and on a different machine btw). I don't have a KVM switch but my Logitech wireless mouse is connected on a usb hub on which I also have my keyboard, so I guess my setup is similar to a KVM. I noticed the problem went away when unplugging the mouse and connecting it directly, and that's what I had to do in order to install Kubuntu 9.04 64bit on my Asus U6S laptop. Next I'll try to have them both on 2 separate hubs, and see if it only happens when kb+mouse are on the same hub.
I'm not sure what the status of this bug is but I hope I'll get some support, I really would like to get going with this and no longer have to boot xp... I'll reboot on kubuntu now and get these output for you: dmesg lspci -vv lspci -vvn lsusb -vv -- keyboard+mouse unusable, "low speed USB device reset" continiously https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/91230 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
