More thoughts: - I was too hasty, reconnecting to hidden networks seems to work BUT ONLY when I have one visible network set to auto connect. The NM prioritizes the visible network but on failure may connect to the hidden one set as auto connect as well - Plasma menu seems to list my WLANs only after I manage to connect to one but can use them to connect to existing saved networks now because of this - The plasma menu doesn't resize itself and usually the "connect to hidden network" button as well as the bottom items in the WLAN menu are unaccessible!
