John, I think I can confirm your solution. I haven't had any corrupted file system problems any more since the 10th of May. I changed a couple of things, among which switching from SATA compatibility mode to AHCI. Since then the system is more or less stable. More or less, because I have an occasional freeze up of the system.
So, I probably solved the file system problem without knowing and by mere accident. Thanks for your research.
