@Daniel J. Blueman: Thanks! I'll try that out today. My system specs, btw, are: Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26GHz, 4GB RAM, Intel GMA X4500 graphics, 64-bit Jaunty and Intrepid dual boot, and ext3 filesystem. The laptop is an "MSI 1223" (i.e. no-name brand, I guess.)
