hi, thanks for your answer! I don't know how to solve this problem. I can't handle the command line. I've searched the web for solutions, but it seems that with my type of notebook (hp nc4010) everyone got the same problem. No hibernate, neither standby. At the end when I need battery hours I still have to use windows xp.
