Public bug reported: I’m using a brand new, clean installation of current 64-bit Jaunty (linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic 2.6.28-11.42) on a ThinkPad X301 with the ethernet controller using¹ e1000e. The system hangs indefinitely on shutdown if it’s plugged into a wired network (and shuts down normally if plugged into a wireless network) – this seems like the opposite of #365733
