But to clarify: does plain intrepid work for you? I think there are at least two different deadlockers in jaunty. I know this because I have a machine with an ATI and with the intel centrino chipset. It deadlocked a lot. Upgrading to the karmic kernel fixed this. OTOH, I have a machine with an intel video card. Downgrading the video driver fixed that. So are you sure you are experiencing the same bug?
