Public bug reported: Binary package hint: solr-jetty
After installing solr-jetty 1.2.0+ds2-3ubuntu1, the init scripts for jetty failed to have any effect. To debug, I ran the "java" command with the arguments listed in the script, and saw a message indicating it couldn't find a class in the "org.xmlpull" package. This seemed to be provided by the libxpp library, so I installed both libxpp3-java and libxpp2-java, not being sure of which was needed. Once these were in place, the /etc/init.d/jetty script worked as expected. I believe this means either libxpp3-java or libxpp2-java needs to be added to the dependency list of either solr-jetty or one of its dependent packages. I'm running Ubuntu Jaunty with openjdk-6-jdk as my JVM. ** Affects: solr (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Seems to be missing a dependency on libxpp https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384873 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
