My Network Plasmoid has been working just fine since I downloaded and installed the package from Hermansson's ppa. I keep a copy of it in my Downloads folder and each time their is an update I think, wow maybe it has actually been fixed and then reality hits and I find I can only connect to my personal WPA-TKIP network after entering my passphrase about 3 or 4 times. Everytime I uninstall the new Plasmoid and reinstall Hermansson's package and then everything works awesome! I connect flawlessly at home and across all of my company's clients wifi networks that I work for no matter their config. As a technician who works and is certified on 3Com wireless systems and their Telephony systems, it is very important that I myself can connect. I from here on out just ignore all new updates for Network Plasmoid. Thanks again Per Hermansson! I don't know if that helps anyone, but each hardware config is different and what works for some may not work for all. I still believe strongly in Ubuntu/Kubuntu and feel it is one of the 2 best Linux Distro's out there (the other being Mandriva). I personally do not feel this is the place for distro attacks but a place where problems can be reported so these folks can work on creating a workable patch. And where is all your log information? Everytime I submit a complaint/problem I usually attach a snapshot of the logs or at least just the few pertinent lines. I am not trying to bust your balls, but I had to say something as that comment was just plain rude, arrogant and egotistical.
