An even easier way of reproducing this freeze (on my system):

1) Start gmplayer and play a video that's as close as possible to these
characteristics:

$ file <that video>
RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 624 x 352, 23.98 fps, video: XviD,
audio: MPEG-1 Layer 3 (stereo, 48000 Hz)

I'd just try an XviD coded avi video.

2) Start Nautilus. Go to a directory with many files in it - so there's
an already quite small scrollbar. Scroll up and down very fast ->
Freezes my system.

So this is *not Flash related*. It seems (besides other things) Scroll-
related.

Christian.
