Yesterday I upgraded to a new generic kernel image: $ uname -a Linux x60s 2.6.28-13-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 2 07:57:31 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
After starting X and gdm for the first time I already saw some flickering Image equal to this here http://pkqs.net/~cf/small-IMG_1303 but the X server started after that. When I now press CTRL+ALT+F1 then there's only that picture - no terminal to log on. I can then get back to X/Gnome with pressing CTRL+ALT+F9 - so X doesn't restart. I'll append the log. Do you want me to degrade the kernel again so I can check the earlier behavior or are you more interested in how the new kernel behaves? ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27769764/Xorg.0.log -- [i945gm] Unexpected X-server restarts on system with Intel 945GM https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384937 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
