Public bug reported: With the latest updates Feisty does no longer recognize the built-in cabled network adapter (Realtek). This is a full update from Herd-2 to most recent level in one go.
The networking configuration tool fails to enable the network - configure the net (appears to work on the first look), save settings close and reopen Networking tool and all settings are gone. During boot there is a longer delay while trying to find the net, then feisty continues to search for WLAN adapters. I apologize for this sort of error report, but i do currently not have the time and opportunity to really search for the root cause. :-( ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Networking broken after update (2007/01/23) https://launchpad.net/bugs/81235 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
