Hi,
This is an easy one. When you install fancy numbered taps you can use
Alt-Gr + number 1 to ... to shift taps. When you use Alt Gr + number x
to get an ascii code character this is very anoying. I have a qwerty
keyboard and sometimes use google translate to translate a French or
German word I am not familiar with, or a Dutch one if I am searching for
a proper translation. You can imagine the issue. You have to work around
it with a text editor and then the fonts won't match, also very
difficult with abiword when writing emails.
The problem is that after uninstalling fancy numbered tabs, which is
uneventfull, the issue just persists. It seems like it is not properly
uninstalled, because you are still switching tabs. The issue is excactly
the same in Windows Vista Ultimate, so it is definately a firefox add on
problem. I recently reinstalled Vista, and that seems to be the only way
to cure this one.
