Public bug reported:
I put the HP mini 1000 into suspend mode for 5 hrs or so. Then tried the front panel on/off switch to bring back the session and this did not work. I pulled the AC connection from the computer and it kept playing on battery. I had no choice but to remove the battery and this terminated abruptly the kernel. There was no problem with a restart of the computer and new boot up session. It is probably important to you that I was running Ubuntu 9.04 desktop OS from a San Disk Cruzer Contour 4 Gbyte memory stick in one of the two main USB ports on this computer. On the other USB port I had a USB hub expander with a USB wired keyboard Microsoft Natural 4000 and wireless mouse signal sender/receiver device. The San Disk Cruzer Contour has a very fast memory read cycle. This maybe too fast for the USB chips and drivers in this particular computer? Hope this helps you guys figure out why it does not come out of suspension.
