Public bug reported:
Using Ubuntu 8.04 (because of LTS). And Logitech Quickcam Communicate
STX. And Skype v2.0.0.x.
Video works fine in the Skype video test. Sound is not captured by the
Quickcam microphone. Can hear the prompt during the Skype Test Call,
but my voice is not captured (and hence not played back). Same is true
in the Sound Recorder.
I'll be glad to work on this bug - with help from a mentor to get
started, like finding the package/source files, compiling, building the
package, installing it and verifying the fix. I'd want detailed steps
for these, so I can get started quickly, rather than fight procedure
problems.
