I'm having a similar issue.

Ever since upgrading to Jaunty from Intrepid, my external encrypted
drive does not automount anymore when I turn it on.

In Intrepid, all I needed to do was to turn it on and it would ask me
for a password.

I tried adding the "usb_storage" to etc/modules and restarting, but
nothing happens.
