I do really agree with Nicolò. That feature should not reduce the immediate impression that "Music" or "Video" are folders, not apps nor files.
* Full-size emblems w/o folder: seem to be something else (application?) * Mimetypes: are really misleading, as they only represent a file * Emblems: the folders keep on showing up as folders, but the emblem is not shown everywhere (not on panel, menu) * Appropriate icons in "places": it's the most difficult possibility, but it would be perfect.
