there is a patch for an identical bug, but with a Dell USB keyboard. I have a Dell laptop (Studio 17), with a Logitech Multimedia Keyboard 600, and I am experiencing this bug too. If I use the patch in the above thread, but changing <match key="info.product" string="Dell Dell USB Keyboard Hub"> to <match key="info.product" string="Logitech Logitech USB Keyboard"> then the problem is resolved. I've notified Richard Hughes in the above thread about this. For me, the media key on the laptop keyboard works fine.
