Public bug reported: If Ubuntu gets corrupted (on its own or as a result of the installation of some "not so good" software), it's nice to be able to quickly fall back to the known "working state" of the system, without needing to restore it from an existing (or, often, non-existing) backup.
This is usually achieved by periodically creating (automatically as well as manually) "checkpoints" with snapshots of the working states of the system. We should have this feature in Ubuntu. Windows XP has it. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: feature-request usability ** Tags added: feature-request usability -- Feature request: System restore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391359 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
