Hi Cat, Sorry for the delayed response. Is this still an issue for you? It's still not clear to me which kernel would have introduced this regression here. Can you do a few tests for me. Can you once again reload the system from the recovery disc and verify sound is working as expected. Can you then open a terminal window and run the following command and tell me what the output is:
cat /proc/version_signature Then run the updates as you did before. Reboot and verify sound is now broken. Once again, open a terminal window and run the same command: cat /proc/version_signature I'm expecting that the version from the system where sound is working will be different than when it's not. Please let us know. Thanks. ** Tags added: regression-update ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- toshiba netbook ubuntu certified sound & video player not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/333407 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
