I'm seeing this in Jaunty on a Lenovo laptop. lspci says 02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5906M Fast Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02) The symptoms are so severe that running google-chrome over ssh dies within a few seconds. Happily, the workaround "sudo ethtool -K eth0 rx off tx off" seems to work.
