As I said, there is no .nividia-settings-rc file on my machine so I don't much care where it is saved. And at the rate its taking I'm not really concerned about what happens after "the bug is later fixed." It will undoubtedly occur after I've installed another release anyway. I'm not going to do without dual monitors because they've failed to fix this bug.
