Hi! Well, - "...your sudo-password is not popping-up...": If you enter the password in the last minutes, Ubuntu don't ask it ;) Can you try it in a new start up? (reboot).
- "...2 gufw-icons in my tray...": You run by menu, and you run by terminal, then you have 2 icons, one with a old status (gufw not read the status all time, only in the actions).
