I discovered that this is a audio output problem. In Kubuntu 9.04 default audio driver in KDE is alsa, but smplayer and e.g. flash player default is pulseaudio. After I change audio output in KDE to pulseaudio everything work fine. So it is not a smplayer bug - can be close.
