In intrepid, which is the version which the bug was filed against, the issue is not resolved. By quick testing (meaning just installing and watching what happens) the problem seems to be exactly the same. 2G of RAM everything is fine. 4G never resumes.
In jaunty, again, nothing interesting happens. But it seems to me that in jaunty there is a quite different problem (probably I should file a bug report). Hibernation actually WORKS with both the release fglrx package, and the one provided by the PPA (and the one provided straight by ATI). The problem in jaunty is that suspend resumes to a blank screen ALWAYS. No matter how much ram is installed. It looks like that the same thing happens to karmic, though to be sure, I have to retest, because my current testing environment is quite a mess. -- [M76] [fglrx] resume from stand by / hibernate fails on Intrepid 64 on 4GB of RAM https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
