Public bug reported:

I have installed nVidia drivers 97.46 from the nVidia website and
everything works fine in that session (3D accelaration, nvidia-settings)
but if i restart my computer X won't load with a error:

"Error: API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module has the version 1.0-7184
but this X module has the version 1.0-9746. Please make sure that the
kernel module and all NVIDIA driver components have the same version."

Then if i build the nVidia kernel module again it will work for that
session but if i restart the problem happens again.

I have my system up to date and my graphics card is a Geforce Go 7300.
But this also happens in my desktop with a Geforce 6800LE card.
