Public bug reported: $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04
firefox package version: 3.0.11+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 When I try to open a new firefox instance, for instance if I want to switch to another profile: $ firefox -p -no-remote ... I expect firefox to open in a new instance and to open the profile manager. What happens instead is that some script or whatever shows a dialog window (see attached image file) telling me firefox is already running and not responding, which is partly a lie. It is running, but it is indeed responsive -- I just want to open up a new instance. My use case is misunderstood. Removing the -p switch does not change anything. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: firefox -- Cannot create new process for firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/393853 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
