Public bug reported:

Whenever I try to shut down or restart Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04)... After the
orange bar hits the end, and the Ubuntu logo and bar go away, all I end
up with is a blinking cursor at the top of the screen.

After hitting Ctrl+Alt+F7 I get some output, of which I've attached a
screenshot of. Seems that Ubuntu can't end all the processes and unmount
the filesystem.

I believe this may have something to do with either the splash screen
itself OR my wireless card, seeing as if I hit the kill switch for my
wireless radio before trying to shut down or reboot, it does so fine. It
may be the splash screen as well because if I bypass it completely
(hitting Ctrl+Alt+F7 before it even has a chance to come up) it also
shuts down or reboots without any trouble.

To actually reboot the system, I must either hold down the power button
until the system halts or use the REISUB Alt+SysRq combination.

System information:
Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04

Wirless: Intel 4965AGN
Kernel: 2.6.28-13-generic
