Public bug reported: 1) Ubuntu 9.04 on/from CD. 3) Normal boot. 4) The computer crashes just around the moment when the cursor shows on the screen. Sometimes before it shows, sometimes a few seconds after, when it has changed to the clock mode.
Reproducible: Always. Correlation: This always happens when my PointOfView WLAN 54Mbps PCI adapter is inserted, and not else. I have had the same problem on CentOS after manual driver installation, and a similar one on Fedora 10, although that did not happen every time (more like 2/3). The problem is the same whether I run from LiveCD or from the harddrive (Installation from CD works as expected). I am willing to investigate this further under your advice, if that is what's necessary to have my WLAN card work. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: crash pov wlan -- POV wireless crashes PC upon entry to Gnome https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/396514 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
