I reconfirm the bug for KDE 4.3rc1, I installed with kdepim_4.2.95a- 0ubuntu1~jaunty~ppa1_all.deb under Jaunty from backports.
To make matters worse, the permanent workaround described in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdepim/+bug/297976/comments/5 does not work anymore.
