Public bug reported: When resuming from standby on my Samsung n120 netbook it takes a long time to unlock the screen, on virtual terminal 8 I see several SRST failed (errno=-16) messages before more ata related errors.
When the screen is unlocked, the computer is unresponsive. To fix another problem I needed to reinstall ubuntu, by doing so it showed that it was not an installation error. hd related portion of lshw: *-ide description: IDE interface product: 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7 Family) SATA IDE Controller vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 1f.2 bus info: p...@0000:00:1f.2 logical name: scsi0 version: 02 width: 32 bits clock: 66MHz capabilities: ide pm bus_master cap_list emulated configuration: driver=ata_piix latency=0 *-disk description: ATA Disk product: SAMSUNG HM160HI physical id: 0.0.0 bus info: s...@0:0.0.0 logical name: /dev/sda version: HH10 serial: S1WWJZ0S508549 size: 149GiB (160GB) capabilities: partitioned partitioned:dos configuration: ansiversion=5 signature=72ae165a ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- SRST failed (errno=-16) when resuming from suspend on Samsung N120 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/396733 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
