Actually, now I got this problem as well. It was masked by another bug before, but now I upgraded xserver-xorg-video-intel to 2:2.7.99.901+git20090702.74227141-0ubuntu1 (from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates) the other bug is gone and I'm left with this. I'm on 32-bit.
