Sebastien,

Dean and I have been working on this bug to see if we could produce the
crash report that you have requested. /etc/default/apport was modified
so that "enabled=0" was changed to "enabled=1" and then we reproduces
the crash. After the crash, no file was found in /var/crash/ therefore
we reported the above with apport collect and another bug will be
reported with with Help > File a problem. I hope that within these
files, you can find the issue. I think a recent update may have broken
this since two people experience the exact same crash within 24 hours.

Dean has a few 'non-standard' repositories which may have pushed down a
package which broke the "Places > Network" and "Places > Computer" I
think it would be useful to know if Jim, the original reporter of the
bug has any of these repositories as well. I do not have these repos, I
have a fully updated system and I am not able to reproduce.

Non standard repositories:
-Launchpad PPA for UbuntuOne
-Wine
-Medibuntu
