Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
I have installed Skype 2.0 , that I have downloaded from Skype web site , which says Skype for Ubuntu 8.04 . I am using Ubuntu 9.04 , but I have not been able to start a chat or video call , because when I try , a message appears : problem with audio playback and eventually cut the call . I have looked at forums and tried a fix like this : from;http://linuxtipstricks.wordpress.com/2009/04/04/how-to-permanently-fix-skype-audio-problem-in-ubuntu/ u...@pc:~$ killall pulseaudio u...@pc:~$ sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio u...@pc:~$ sudo apt-get install esound u...@pc:~$ sudo rm /etc/X11/Xsession.d/70pulseaudio it did not work ... or maybe I am not skilled enough to do that , I am a begginer on computers ... I love Linux , however I need to learn a lot more seems to me thanks ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-terminal Package: gnome-terminal 2.26.0-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-terminal Uname: Linux 2.6.28-13-generic i686 ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- problem with audio playback on Skype https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/397649 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
