** Description changed: I have Packagekit installed and removed the apt backend to it and installed the smartpm backend. If i open PK add/remove and try using the search i get an error "The search could not be completed" underneath that is a message "Running the transaction failed" and under details is "cannot start daemon: cannot GetTid: Launch helper exited with unknown return code 1" Under the 'System' tab i only have 'Quit'. Under the 'Filters' tab i have nothing. Software Sources only has a unusable checkbox with a 'greyed' out line that says "Getting software source list not supported by backend. Using Software Update, it just says checking for updates no matter how - long you leave it. There is now progressbar or nothing else happening + long you leave it. There is no progressbar or nothing else happening within the GUI.
