Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-mud

Description:    Ubuntu 9.04
Release:        9.04

apt-cache policy gnome-mud
gnome-mud:
  Installed: 0.11-2
  Candidate: 0.11-2
  Version table:
 *** 0.11-2 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

100% reproducible. Every time on connect to any mud, it crashes during
the welcome screen.

<TERMINAL>
$ gnome-mud

(gnome-mud:12912): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_strsplit: assertion `delimiter[0]
!= '\0'' failed

(gnome-mud:12912): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_strv_length: assertion `str_array !=
NULL' failed
Segmentation fault
</TERMINAL>

My GUESS is that this is because I am on an amd64 platform.
