Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

I don't know if anyone else if having the same problem but I installed
Karmic on the 11 July (from a Daily Alternative Kubuntu disc) and found
that windows had disappeared from my boot menu, but was present in the
configuration file. Anyway I printed /etc/grub.d/30_otheros and typed it
in manually and discovered a typo in the following:

menuentry "Windows Vista (loader") {
set root=(hd0,0)
search --no-floppy --fs_uuid --set xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (cut out)
drivemap -s (hd0) $root
chainloader +1
}

setting --fs_uuid to --fs-uuid resolved my problem. Could this be fixed
in the next update of grub2 (grub-install??)

Thanks :)

TGM
