Is there currently a solution/workaround? This crackling is incredibly annoying. I'm experiencing it randomly on Ubuntu 9.04, using default audio (pulseaudio). Audio is 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
