Hey this has been a while. I have since figured out how to get the 8.04 live cd to work, I needed to change the graphics features around. but since then I have moved on to the new versions of ubuntu and they still don't work. This seems really odd to me becuase my greatest way of spreading ubuntu was by telling people that it just worked and now it doesn't work on my computer. The latest stable build of ubuntu (9.04) doesn't work for me. It doesn't matter what I try I can't get it to install on my computer using the livecd. I even tried the alternate cd and that failed saying that I needed to install the cd rom driver while it was reading from a cd rom, which just got me confused and made me give up for a while. So I am still struggling with the install of ubuntu 9.04 and have had to go back to windows while I wait to see if a solution comes out.
