Still reproducible in 9.04 final. Suppose I should note that I'm on the community-supported PowerPC port, but this is a packaging problem (the deb install metadata fails to properly place an autostart entry).
This bug is named incorrectly, I think... it's not just edge-flipping, but all brightside features which are unavailable at login unless you go turn them on again, *every time* you've logged in.
