Actually, it's a pci tv tuner card. Would moving it to a different pci slot help be something to try or would they all share one irq? Removing it all together is an option, I haven't used it since switching to Ubuntu, and even with vista and xp, I didn't use it often. Could it be sata_nv (which I'm assuming is a hard drive) and intel ICH (the southbridge chip after a little research) sharing an irq, I've noticed the mouse stops working periodically when I'm transfering large amounts of files from my IDE drive to my SATA drive. Since I can't move the southbridge obviously, I suppose I could try the other SATA connector. But first, since Chem's bug seems to have been solved by resolving the conflict with the nvidia graphics card, I guess I'll start by removing the Tuner card.
Since I've failed to do it in any amount of detail, I'll post a more specific system profile, maybe we can find something similar about all the systems having the bug.
