I am experiencing the same problem with a Kingston SDHC card reader and when plugging in my Nokia N800 via USB cable. In Ubuntu 8.04, the SDHC cards are read correctly, and I am presented with a dialog asking me what application I want to use to view the media on the card. In Jaunty, upon plugging in the USB device the memory card is initially shown in the Nautilus side bar, but after clicking the icon, the icon vanishes and I cannot access the SDHC memory cards at all. I also tested this with the 2.6.30 and 2.6.31 RC3 kernels from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ in Jaunty and experienced the same problems. Regular SD cards work correctly in both my N800 and my Kingston card reader in Ubuntu 9.04, and SDHC cards work fine in 8.04.3.
