I just flashed my bios on this ASUS G50vt-x1 from version 205 to 213 as
I mentioned previously. I just ripped a CD and a 7gb DVD (ghostbusters),
set a bash loop to mount and unmount the cd over and over, and after all
that it worked just like normal.

however, then I went to burn a CD (arcanum play disc iso) and K3B did
what it always does: sits there doing nothing. also a mount command is
completely stuck, and I can't even `killall -9` it. it just won't die.
and my cd wont eject.

bah.
