Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
OOo refers to a cell on a sheet as sheet1.$A$1 fo example, whereas Excel does it this way: sheet1!$A$1. When saving a sheet in OOo in xls format, the conversion is not done and all cells with the OOo reference are reported as errors in Excel. The inverse is true as well. When Excel sheets are opened in OOo the sheet1!$A$1 reference is not converted to the . notation.
