I confirm this bug is not server related, it is a client viewer bug in xvnc4viewer 4.1.1 and xtightvncviewer 1.3.9. I have 3 servers running VNC as followos:-
Windows 2000 running UltraVNC Ubuntu 9.04 running Vino Ubuntu 7.10 running Vino I can not "Shift + Click" or "Ctrl + Click" in a VNC viewer window on any of these servers from an Ubuntu 9.04 computer using xvnc4viewer 4.1.1, tsclient or xtightvncviewer 1.3.9. However "Shift + Click" and "Ctrl + Click" in vinagre, gvncviewer and gtkvncviewer work ok on the Ubuntu 9.04 computer, but the response inside these viewers is very slow when connected to the Ubuntu vino servers. Using UltraVNC viewer run from the Windows 2000 computer the "Shift + Click" and "Ctrl + Click" works ok viewing the Ubuntu vino servers.
