Public bug reported: I use Thunderbird with ubuntu 9.10 and XP. In Ubuntu Thunderbird asked to create a new account while it worked correct with Windows. The profiles.ini was correct. I uninstalled Thunderbird, reinstalled it and created the accounts again with the path to the old emails. Then it worked again. I used Thunderbird for over 6 months without trouble before.
