It doesn't happen to me on my MacPro Ubuntu installation, but it happens on the Acer Netbook. I really can't tell you how to trigger it, unfortunately, since I can't detect the pattern. I will keep watching it and, if I detect a trigger, let you know what UI activity causes it.
