Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

I noticed this on my Kubuntu Jaunty (backports enabled). Running Amarok
2.1.1 in KDE 4.2.2.

I have my MP3 collection in an NTFS partition, mounted in fstab with following
line:
/dev/sda3 /media/Warez\0401 ntfs-3g quiet,defaults,rw 0 0

Amarok refreshes the list every 20 seconds or so scrolling the list to
beginning. This is highly annoying. I have to start over and it actually
seems that in the long run this causes Amarok to crash preceded by 2
loud click -sounds. I don't have any changes in the file system. It is
just Amarok.

I haven't tried to remove the ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok as suggested by
some forums (possibly for 1.4 series..). What info do you need?

** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

Amarok 2 constantly rescans the collection eventhough there are no changes in
the file system
