Bob - This issue seems to have magically disappeared for me - I'm now running 9.04, so maybe the fix was in one of the updates for that? Saying that though I seem to now get fairly consistant crashes where everything freezes and the only thing I can do is reset the machine and log back in again. I'm sure that this isn't related to the mouse and deserves to be on another post, but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone might know what the issue is?
